When and how did you get started with Iron-Oak Fitness?
I began my fitness journey at Iron-Oak when I was 6 months post-partum. The baby weight wasn’t falling off like I hoped, I was uncomfortable in everything that I did, and was out of breath walking up the steps while holding my tiny son. I saw an advertisement on Facebook about a 6-week Woman’s Boot Camp. I applied to do the Boot Camp, interviewed with Brenda, and went to my first workout with about 13 other women. At first, I was nervous. I hadn’t actually worked out since I was in college which was seven years ago. Once we began working out, I realized, no one cares what I look like working out and how inexperienced I may be. No matter what work out we did there was a way to modify and improve. Through the Boot Camp, I was part of a community which kept me moving. From that point on, I was addicted, not only to the workouts and the constant soreness, but to the community of people as well.
