When and how did you get started with Iron-Oak?
I started with IOF last April. I kept seeing your adds on FB and I was looking for a new gym that had a 5 am class. Ross interviewed me and I started a few days later. I have been hooked ever since.

What’s your favorite thing about Iron-Oak Fitness?
Wow...how much time do you have? I kinda relate my experiences here with that one person who comes into your life and changes you or mentors you into a better person. From day one IOF has been a positive experience. The patience and dedication Ross and Brenda have for all their clients is like no other gym around. I have never felt like a number here. They take the time to get to know everyone and their needs. They see you struggling and they offer suggestions and encouragement until you succeed. Then they push you to the next level. I now lift weights that I never thought I could and complete Metcons [metabolic conditioning] without dying....well sometimes. My strength and endurance has far succeeded any goal I would have given myself...when my only goal when I started was to work out at 5 am.
Since last April I have learned to make better food choices and follow the rules set up from a past challenge. Because of IOF I have lost two dress sizes, I sleep at least two more hours every night and have a better outlook on life. The stress from working up to 60 hours a week is gone and I always feel great. I have met some of the best people/friends here. You workout in an environment where nobody shows off or has an ego, we all praise each other for accomplishments, laugh a lot and walk out looking forward to the next workout.
What’s the last thing you searched for on Google?
Installation instructions for a toilet.
What’s your favorite flavor ice cream?
Chocolate chip cookie dough.
If you were a vegetable, what vegetable would you be?
A beet, for sure.
If you were stranded on a desert island, what three items would you want with you?
My backpack because it's always packed for an adventure, a box of matches and a sharp knife/machete
